Brockport, NY – On Monday, November 17^th, the Empire 8 announced its weekly awards for men's wrestling. The conference selected Tyler Rossini as the E8 Wrestler of the Week after putting up a series of wins at the Wilkes Invitational over the weekend. 

Brockport provided a relentless effort to secure a strong first-place finish at the invite, racking up 136 points at the Wilkes Invite. At 157, Rossini contributed to the win, picking up four wins for a second-place finish and 10 points.  

Rossini advanced to the finals of his weight class with an 11-0 major decision win, a win by fall just 28 seconds into the match, a tech fall win (5:31, 17-2), and a 2-1 decision in the semi-final match. 

The Golden Eagles will look ahead to the New York State Collegiate Championships from Syracuse, NY, on Saturday, November 22^nd, set to start at 9 am.
