Brockport, NY – On Monday, February 10^th, the Empire 8 announced Nick Franco as the Wrestler of the Week following multiple dominating performances at the John Summa Invitational. 

The Golden Eagles traveled to Berea, Ohio over the weekend where Franco brought the heat with a first-place finish at 285 while scoring 27 points for the team.
 
In the Champ Round 1 and 2, Franco earned two wins by fall at just 28 seconds into the match and 1:35 in. In the Quarterfinals, Franco added another win by fall just 1:30 into the round where he moved on to the Semifinals and won by a 9-1 major decision. Franco finished out the day in the 1^st place match where he won by a 10-4 decision over Jackson Burns of St. John Fisher. 

This Weekend – The Green and Gold are set to host St. John Fisher this Friday, February 14^th for Senior Day starting at 6pm at the Vlog.
