Women’s Lacrosse on the Road to Open Up 2025 Season

Brockport, NY – The Brockport women's lacrosse team is set to start the 2025 season on the road on Sunday, February 23rd starting at 1pm up against the Ithaca Bombers. 

2024 Season Recap – The Golden Eagles finished up their last season in the SUNYAC conference at 10-7 overall and a hard earned 6-3 record in competitive conference play. They had a total selection of seven All-Conference honors adding on a Rookie of the Year award. Head Coach Bryana Glasser is back for her second season with the team as the head coach after spending her first season in Brockport as the interim head coach. Glasser led the team to hosting rights against Oswego in the quarterfinals of the post season SUNYAC Conference Tournament where they dialed in for an 11-10 overtime victory. 

Players to Watch – Alayna Foos returns to the team for her senior season finishing up last season leading the team in goals (52), second in assists (14), and second in points (66).  Foos earned All-Conference First Team last season to go along with her previously earned 2nd team and 3rd team in 2023 and 2022. The Green and Gold are also eager to add back sophomore Tristan Davis as she earned Rookie of the Year last season and made All-Conference Third Team. Davis finished up the season with 38 goals (third on the team) and 40 assists (third on the team). She was second on the team with 45 draw controls and scooped up 15 groundballs to add. 

Other Key Returners – The team is fortunate to welcome back 12 other returners from the 2024 season including Christina Ross, Hailey Lewkovich, Kaeli McCarthy (All-Conference Third Team), Journey Naab (All-Conference Third Team), Maeve Kelleher, Amanda Evans, Sarah Kilburn (All-Conference Third Team), Paige Thowe, Jazmin Medina, Kate Singer, Olivia Magin, and Arianna Reed (All-Conference Third Team).

New Faces – The Green and Gold are excited to welcome 10 new players to the team. This year's roster of newcomers includes Maura Langdon, Emily Schiffer, Cate Peacock, Karaline McCarthy, Mikayla Hisey, Angelina Soeffing, Payton Tyszka, Addison Kumiega, Brookelyn Vicaretti, and Makenna Cady

A Look at the Bombers – Ithaca finished up the 2024 season at 18-2 overall and 10-0 in the Liberty Conference. They earned their first Liberty League title in program history with their undefeated record.  The Bombers are also set to open up their 2025 season on Sunday facing the Golden Eagles. 

Next Up – Following their game on Sunday, the team is back on the road to Rochester where they will face the University of Rochester on Wednesday, February 26th at 3pm.
