Brockport, NY- The Brockport ice hockey team fell in Friday night's game with Geneseo, 7-2, on February 7^th. The Golden Eagles dropped to 4-14-2 overall and 2-13 in UCHC contests.
 
The Knights would come out of gates rolling, going up 2-0 after just 4:51 of play in the opening period.
 
Joseph Nikac would halt the Geneseo momentum for the time being, lighting the lamp at 11:32 to bring Brockport within one.
 
Geneseo would respond quickly, with Robert Gatewood connecting with a goal with less than three minutes left in the first to enter the second up 3-1.
 
Following a Knights goal at 9:57, Mitchell Haight would bury a Joseph Nikac feed to enter the third period down 4-2.
 
Geneseo would close the contest strong, scoring the game's final three goals. Brockport would be unable to answer, suffering a 7-2 defeat.
 
Joseph Nikac shined for Brockport, posting a multi-point outing with a goal and an assist on the day.
 
Schuyler Flansburg shined in the faceoff circle, winning 8 of 11 draws.
 
Cole Hudson would finish with 33 saves on the day, marking his sixth straight appearance with 33+ saves.
