Brockport, NY – The women's lacrosse team preps for a week of competition after a short break as they travel to Union College on Tuesday, March 11
th for a 4pm start and host Oswego State on Saturday, March 15
th starting at 1pm on the A. Huntley Parker Jr. Field.
Last Time Out – On Saturday, March 1
st, the Golden Eagles traveled to Geneva, NY where they faced William Smith College and faced a tough 4-17 loss.
From the start, William Smith started strong as the herons put up a 4-0 lead before the Green and Gold halted the run.
Alayna Foos made an unassisted goal early on in the first at 4:15. The Herons didn't stop there and scored two more to bump them 6-1 going into quarter two.
Before halftime, William Smith added on five more goals taking them to 11-1 going into the break.
In the third quarter,
Angelina Soeffing made her first goal as a member of the team, but the Golden Eagles still trailed behind 13-2.
Alayna Foos added another unassisted score along with
Hailey Lewkovich with an unassisted goal, but Brockport was just too far behind in the fourth and William Smith took the 13-point win on home turf.

Arianna Reed had 12 saves on the day and freshman
Makenna Cady made her first two saves with the team.
