Brockport, NY – Nick Franco (285) represented Brockport on Friday, March 14^th at the 2025 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships in Providence, R.I.. 

On day 1 of nationals, Franco's dominating 2024-25 season came to a close. In the Champ Round 1, Franco received a bye, automatically moving him onto Champ Round 2 where Walter West of Luther won by an 8-0 major decision. In the Cons Round 2, Franco received another bye and in Cons Round 3, Maruo Pellot won by fall 3:10 into the matchup. 

Franco finished up with an impressive 23-7 record on the season while also earning a total of three Empire 8 Athlete of the Week honors. At the NYS Collegiate Championships, he had a strong second place and went on to clinch third at SUNYAC Championships. Franco took first in his division at the John Summa Invite and brought the heat at regionals with a third-place mark where he qualified for nationals.
