Golden Eagles Travel to Hamilton College for Spring Break Matchup

Brockport, NY – The women's lacrosse team is set to travel to Clinton, NY to face Hamilton College on Wednesday, March 19th for a 4pm start. 

Last Time Out – On Saturday, March 15th, the Golden Eagles hosted the Oswego Lakers in the tough battle and came up just short with Oswego taking the 12-11 victory. 

Brockport started strong leading 2-0 with goals from Paige Thowe assisted by Hailey Lewkovich with Lewkovich taking the next with an assist by Alayna Foos. Oswego matched the Golden Eagles adding on two more goals until Sarah Kilburn found the back of the net with an assist by Amanda Evans. Oswego tied up the game 3-3 finishing out the first quarter. 

The second period was a back-and-forth battle with Oswego starting off early with a goal. The Green and Gold took control with three scores in a row with Kilburn finding the back of the net yet again with an assist by Foos. Thowe added in her second goal unassisted and Lewkovich made one more shortly after taking the team to a two-point lead. Oswego came back with one more until Foos snuck a goal in with just 11 seconds left. 

The Golden Eagles went into the second half leading 7-5 until the Lakers dominated in the third period. They outshot Brockport 4-0 bringing them up 9-7 going into the last period. 

The last period was back and forth yet again with Brockport's Karaline McCarthy making her first of the day with an assist from Foos. Oswego made another until Kilburn shot another in with Foos coming in with another assist. Lewkovich and Tristan Davis both score bringing Brockport up 11-10 with just three minutes left. Oswego had the last shots of the day finishing out the game with the one-point lead. 

Foos led the team in points with five from one goal and four assists. Lewkovich added three goals and one assist for four points and Kilburn also contributed three goals. Arianna Reed was in net for the Golden Eagles making 10 saves on the day. 

A Look at Hamilton – Hamilton is currently 1-3 overall in the 2025 season and 0-3 in the NESCAC conference. Last season they finished up 7-8 overall and 5-5 in conference play. This will be the first time Brockport and Hamilton will face each other since 2011. 

Up Next – The Green and Gold will be back in action next Wednesday, March 26th where they will host RIT on home turf starting at 4pm.
