St. Peter, MN – The SUNY Brockport gymnastics team conclude the 2025 season on Saturday with a sixth place finish at the 2025 NCGA National Championship, earning a score of 190.900.
Lienna Kay claimed the status of 2025 NCGA Balance Beam Co-National Champion after scoring a 9.850. To go along with a share of the national title for the event, Kay was also recognized as All-American on the beam.
Brockport added one more All-American performance out in Minnesota, as
Kiara Hockman joined her teammate in earning the prestigious honor. Hockman took second place on the vault with a 9.825 score at nationals.
The first event up at nationals for the Green and Gold was the balance beam, which saw the squad score a 47.975. The beam queen,
Lienna Kay, led the way with her 9.850 score. Close behind was
Kiara Hockman's 9.750 to help the team's effort. Brockport also received scores from
Maya Pecoraro (9.550),
Emma Brookins (9.550), and
Alexis Schulman (9.275) on the beam.
Ready to make more noise was the floor exercise group, as the second event on tap for the Golden Eagles. They totaled a score of 48.775 on the floor, jumping their running score up to 96.750 after two events.
Freshman
Emma Brookins shined for the squad on the floor, earning a team-high score of 9.800 on the day. Both
Kiara Hockman and
Jamarie Saravia added a 9.775 score for the Golden Eagles.
Cali Czarcinski received a 9.725, while
Maya Pecoraro rounded out the scoring with a 9.700.
Up next Brockport came to the vault, looking to stay strong after a good showing on the floor. The vault lineup worked for a 47.725 score, leading to a 144.475 for the team through three events.
Kiara Hockman's 9.825 on the vault proved to be the team's best score for the event. She was followed up by
Lienna Kay (9.650),
Marina DelVecchio (9.575),
Gracie Weaver (9.375),
Shannon Gibbs (9.300), and
Emma Langdon (9.300).
The final event of the meet for the Golden Eagles was the uneven bars, giving them one last chance to make a run at the national title. They received a total of 46.425 to finalize the meet score of 190.900.
Charlotte Raymond led the bars effort with her 9.550 on the national stage.
Emma Brookins was close behind with a 9.500,
Jamarie Saravia scored a 9.450,
Julia Klucinec earned a 9.375, and
Lienna Kay added an 8.550 to round out the lineup.
