Brockport, NY- The Brockport men's lacrosse team will head to Geneseo to take on the Knights on Wednesday, April 2nd at 4 pm before heading to SUNY Poly on Saturday, April 5^th at 1 pm.
 
Last Time Out: The Golden Eagles narrowly fell at home to Hartwick, 11-9, on Saturday, March 29^th. The Golden Eagles fell to 3-5 on the season and 0-1 in Empire 8 play.
 
Jack Acker provided a strong effort in the loss, making 19 saves on the afternoon.
 
Tim Hubbard led all players with four caused turnovers in a strong defensive effort.
 
Nick Maslin led all Golden Eagles with two assists and three points on the day.
 
Between the Pipes: Starting seven games in net for Brockport, Jack Acker has been strong between the pipes for the Golden Eagles. Acker's 14.71 saves per game rank inside the top 25 in the country (2^nd in E8), totaling 103 saves to 78 goals allowed on the season.
 
Freshman Standout: Across five starts on the season, freshman Pierson Jacobs has emerged as an offensive threat. The freshman from Niagara Falls has recorded nine goals with two assists for 11 points, good for the fifth most on the squad. Jacobs has posted a goal in four of five outings, posting multiple goals in three games.
 
Scouting Geneseo: The Knights currently sit at 4-4 with a 1-0 record in E8 play and are currently riding a four-game winning streak. Dating back to both teams' time in the SUNYAC, Brockport and Geneseo have met 22 times since 2004, with the Knights holding an eight-game winning streak in the head-to-head series.
 
Scouting SUNY Poly: The Wildcats hold a 5-2 record, most recently downing Keuka 18-11 to move to 1-0 in Empire 8 play. Saturday's matchup between SUNY Poly and Brockport will mark the first as members of the Empire 8.
