Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport softball team is at home this weekend for a pair of crucial Empire 8 doubleheaders. On Saturday, SUNY Poly comes to town for a 1pm start to the set. Brockport will then host Utica on Sunday, starting at 1pm once again.
Last Time Out: The Golden Eagle softball team improved to 10-9 overall and 2-3 in the Empire 8 with a sweep of Keuka in Wednesday's doubleheader on the road. Brockport took game one, 7-5, then finished out the day with a 6-3 victory in game two. Across the two games out in Keuka for this doubleheader, Brockport did not trail at any moment through the 14 innings between the pair of conference foes. After taking two out in Keuka, the Green and Gold has now won four straight heading into a key part of the conference schedule.
No-Hitter Last Weekend: Last weekend on their home field, the Golden Eagles swept Hilbert College in non-conference play. The first game saw some history made, as freshman pitcher
Colleen Davis threw a no-hitter against the Hawks. Davis throws the first Brockport no-hitter since Jamie Berger did so against Oneonta back on April 23
rd, 2016. Davis retired 10 straight batters to start the game, in what became her first career no-hitter. Going the full 5.0 innings in the circle, Davis allowed no hits, no runs, had four strikeouts, and just two walks.
Big Hitters: 19 games into the 2025 regular season schedule, Brockport currently has four players batting above .300 with two hitting over .400.
Olivia Simone leads the pack with a .439 average to go with 29 hits (team-high), eight doubles (team-high), five triples (team-high), 18 RBIs, and a 1.177 OPS (team-high). She is currently riding the momentum of a seven game hit streak.
Aubrey Ennis has been great as well at the plate, hitting .418 so far this season. She leads the squad with 19 RBIs to highlight her stat line that includes 23 hits, four doubles, and a .912 OPS. Ennis rattled off a 10-game hit streak earlier this season and has jumped back in with hits in the last four games.
Freshman
Teresa Cotty has made plenty of noise at the plate in her debut season with the Green and Gold. The first year player is batting .396 with 19 hits, six doubles, one homer, and 11 RBIs. Cotty also boasts a strong OPS of 1.046.

Brockport Trending Up: Currently at 10-9 overall and 2-3 in the Empire 8, second-year Head Coach

The Golden Eagles already have their most wins since 2022, when the team finished 13-19, with plenty of games left on the schedule to continue improving upon that feat.
