Brockport, NY- The Brockport men's lacrosse team dropped Wednesday's home matchup with Nazareth, 13-7, on April 23
rd. The Golden Eagles fell to 7-8 overall and 4-4 in Empire 8 play following the victory.

Jack Acker (L, 7-7) kept Brockport within striking distance, making a career-high 24 saves in an excellent effort. Â Â

Jack Rice opened the scoring just 36 seconds into the contest, burying an unassisted goal to put Brockport up 1-0 early.

Following three straight Golden Flyer goals,
Pierson Jacobs would bury a
Hunter Riehlman feed to cut Nazareth's lead to 3-2.

Down 5-2 in the second period,
Nate Askin would find
Carson Colucci to bring the Green and Gold within two.
Â
The Golden Flyers would outscore Brockport 6-2 in the second period to take a 10-4 lead into the halftime break.

The third quarter would prove to be all Golden Eagles, outscoring the Golden Flyers 3-0.
Tyler Pastore,
Pierson Jacobs, and
Carson Colucci would all net goals in the period, bringing Brockport within striking distance (10-7).

Nazareth would dominate the remainder of the contest, scoring three goals in the fourth and shutting out Brockport in the final frame for the 13-7 victory.

Tyler Pastore led the squad with two forced turnovers, adding his first goal as a Golden Eagle.

Tim Hubbard led the way with three ground balls each.
