Brockport, NY -  The women's lacrosse team is set to travel to Geneseo to face the Knights for the Semifinal round of the Empire 8 Championship tournament on Thursday, May 1^st starting at 4:30pm.

Quarterfinals Recap – On Tuesday, the Golden Eagles (No.3) faced the Utica Pioneers (No.6) in the quarterfinals and took the impressive 16-2 victory, moving them on to the semifinal round. 

Hailey Lewkovich had a day leading the team with five goals for five points and picked up two groundballs. Alayna Foos and Karaline McCarthy tied with three goals and one assist for four points each.
Sarah Kilburn added on three goals, Paige Thowe had one goal and one assist, Payton Tyszka put up one goal, and Amanda Evans helped out with two assists. 

In the net for the Green and Gold was Arianna Reed, making a total of three saves on the day and picking up two groundballs.

A Look at Geneseo – The Knights are currently No.2 in the conference behind No.1 St. John Fisher. They are 11-6 overall on the 2025 season and 8-1 in the conference. Geneseo automatically moved to semifinals after receiving a bye in the quarterfinals. The last matchup between the Knights and Golden Eagles resulted in a 16-9 Geneseo win. 

Up Next – To move on to the final round of the Empire 8 Championship tournament, Brockport must win tomorrows matchup. The final round will take place on Saturday, May 3^rd and the winner will face the winner of the Nazareth and St. John Fisher semifinals matchup.
