Women's Lacrosse on the Road for a Pair of Conference Matchups

Brockport, NY – The women's lacrosse team is set to travel for a pair of away games this week, taking on Alfred University on Wednesday, April 9th at 5pm and Utica University on Saturday, April 12th at 1pm. The Golden Eagles go into the week 3-7 overall and 2-1 in the conference. 

Last Week Recap – On Wednesday, Brockport faced the Geneseo Knights, who took home the 16-9 tough win. Sarah Kilburn led the team in points with four from three goals and one assist adding on two groundballs. Hailey Lewkovich contributed three goals for three points, and Alayna Foos also put up three points from two goals and one assist also taking two groundballs.  

On Saturday, the Green and Gold took on SUNY Poly and outscored the team 18-1. Karaline McCarthy and Alayna Foos tied for seven points from three goals and four assists each. Jazmin Medina also had a day with three goals and two assists for five points and Hailey Lewkovich also added three goals to the total. 

In Net – Arianna Reed was in between the pipes for Brockport on Wednesday making a total of 15 saves on the day. Makenna Cady found some time in net on Saturday making three saves against the Wildcats. 

Team Leaders – Alayna Foos currently leads the team in goals (25), assists (13), and points (38) on the season. Karaline McCarthy and Hailey Lewkovich are tied in goals with 16 and Sarah Kilburn follows shortly after with 12 goals. 

Scouting Alfred and Utica – The Alfred Saxons are currently sitting at 5-5 on the 2025 season and 2-2 in the conference. The Golden Eagles and the Saxons have not had a matchup since 2004.  
The Utica Pioneers have a 4-5 record overall and are 1-2 in the E8 conference. Brockport and Utica have not faced each other since the 2008 season. 

Next Week – Brockport is back home next week as they host St. John Fisher on Wednesday, April 16th at 4pm and Russell Sage College on Saturday, April 19th at 1pm for Senior Day.
