BROCKPORT, N.Y- The Brockport Field Hockey team earned its 13
th straight head-to-head win against SUNY Morrisville, 3-1, on Saturday, September 13
th. The Golden Eagles improved to 3-1 on the season following the victory.
After a defensive stalemate in the opening quarter, the Golden Eagle offense would generate six scoring chances. Despite winning the shots battle 11-3 in the second, six saves from Mustang goalie Emmaly Noeller would keep both teams scoreless at halftime.
The third period would see the Brockport attack break through, scoring three goals. 
Elise Brady would open the scoring at the 31:42 mark, burying a 
Terralyn McLaughlin feed to jump Brockport ahead 1-0. Less than five minutes later, 
Allison Greene notched her first goal of the season, doubling the Brockport lead to 2-0. 
With time running out in the third, freshman 
Alexis Penree notched her first as a Golden Eagle, with 
Sophia Jones providing the assist to send Brockport into the fourth up 3-0. 
Despite a Morrisville goal in the 54
th minute, goalkeeper 
Lauren Mastromarco would make two saves in the fourth to secure the victory.
Lauren Mastromarco (W,3-0) was strong between the pipes, making six saves in a winning effort.
Sophia Jones (Assist) and Elsie Brady (Goal) led the Golden Eagles with three shots on goal each.
The Golden Eagles would finish the contest with a 23-14 (12-7 SOG) edge in the shots department.
