The Brockport women's tennis team suffered a challenging 7-0 road loss to Hartwick College on Saturday, September 13th, in an Empire 8 matchup. The Golden Eagles' record now stands at 2-2 on the season following the loss with a 1-1 mark in E8 play.

In doubles action, Brockport was unable to get on the scoreboard. The first doubles team of Cara Vasile and Leah Banes fell to their opponents, 6-0. Kathleen Rogers and Erin McMichael were defeated 6-1 in the second doubles match, while Carly Lewis and Samantha Figueroa were swept in the third doubles, 6-0.

Brockport was unable to secure a point in singles play. In first singles, Cara Vasile dropped her match (6-2, 6-0), while Leah Banes was defeated in two sets in the second singles (6-0, 6-0). Erin McMichael battled in the third singles action but ultimately fell (6-0, 6-2). Madison Ballone was taken down in fourth singles (6-0, 6-0), and the team rounded out the lineup with Gianna Masker falling in fifth singles (6-1, 6-0) and Kathleen Rogers in sixth singles (6-0, 6-0).
