Brockport, NY – On Tuesday, the popular media outlet D3football.com announced that Brockport's
Daniel Manneh was selected to the D3football.com Team of the Week as a special teams kick returner.
During Brockport's 56-0 win over Hartwick on homecoming, Manneh made program history with his explosive performance. He became the first Golden Eagle player to ever score on a kickoff return, punt return, and receiving touchdown all in just the first quarter. To make it even more impressive, he scored these three touchdowns on his first three touches of the day.
Manneh started the contest with an 80-yard return on the opening kickoff for his first touchdown of the day. Later in the first, Manneh took a screen pass 23 yards for a second touchdown. Just minutes after, he took a punt all the way back for a 67-yard score for touchdown number three. In front of the homecoming crowd, Manneh had three catches for 45 yards and a touchdown to go with 148 return yards and two touchdowns on special teams.
On the season, Brockport's big playmaker has totaled 313 yards receiving and two touchdowns on 24 receptions. In the return game he has lines of 72 yards and a touchdown (five attempts) on the punt return to go with 170 yards and a score in five tries on the kickoff.
The Golden Eagles improved to 3-1 overall and 1-0 in E8 play following the 56-0 win over Hartwick at home. They are on the road for a week five battle with St. John Fisher for the annual Courage Bowl matchup.
