Meet the Facilitator
This workshop series is led by Shannon Niles, a dedicated Mental Health Counselor at SUNY Brockport. Shannon specializes in supporting student-athletes navigating the unique challenges of performance-related stress, identity development, injury recovery, and body image concerns.
With a background in playing multiple sports during and after college, Shannon brings a relatable and empathetic approach to her work. She understands the strong connection between mental health and athletic performance and creates a safe, supportive environment for student-athletes to build confidence, strengthen resilience, and prioritize wellness—both in and beyond sport.
