Brockport Athletics Welcomes Joe Quattrone ‘16 as New Head Strength & Conditioning Coach

The SUNY Brockport Department of Athletics is excited to announce the hiring of Joe Quattrone as the new Head Strength & Conditioning Coach, effective October 23, 2025.

Quattrone, a 2016 Brockport graduate in Exercise Science, returns to his alma mater with nine years of experience in the field of athletic performance. He most recently served as the H2F Brigade Lead Strength and Conditioning Coach of 2nd Brigade Combat Team at Fort Drum, NY, overseeing the training and readiness of more than 3,500 of the highest deployed service members.

"I'm excited for the opportunity to be the next Head S&C Coach for SUNY Brockport! Not only is it my Alma Mater, but it is also where I met my wife," said Quattrone. "SUNY Brockport is not only a great school but an amazing community. I'm truly honored to now be a part of the staff to help continue the growth of the athletic program and the University!"

Prior to his role at Fort Drum, Quattrone spent five years at Stony Brook University, including time as Assistant Director of Athletic Performance, where he led training for Division I women's basketball, lacrosse, tennis, and men's soccer, while also assisting with football and managing two large performance facilities. During this time, he helped the women's basketball team attain back-to-back conference tournament wins leading to the team's first ever NCAA March Madness bid.

His career began at SUNY Brockport, serving as a Strength and Conditioning Assistant (2015–2016) while completing his undergraduate studies. He later earned his MS in Fitness and Wellness Leadership from SUNY Plattsburgh in 2021.

In his new role, Quattrone will work with all 24 varsity sports at Brockport, designing and implementing training programs to enhance student-athlete performance, wellness, and long-term development. He will also work alongside Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Performance John Jackson and the Brockport athletic training staff to ensure the best possible care for the Golden Eagle student-athletes.

In addition to his collegiate and tactical training experience, Quattrone is both an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and an NSCA Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC).

Athletic Director Dr. Erick Hart shared his excitement for the hire:

"We are thrilled to welcome Joe back to Brockport. His diverse experiences working with Division I athletes, tactical populations, and right here at Brockport make him uniquely prepared to lead our strength and conditioning program. Joe's passion, energy, and commitment to athlete development will be a tremendous asset to our student-athletes and coaching staff."

Brockport athletics is proud to welcome Coach Quattrone home and looks forward to the impact he will make in preparing Golden Eagle student-athletes across all 24 sports for success.

Quattrone grew up in Coram, NY on Long Island and he currently resides in Spencerport with his wife Ashleigh and their dog Bumi.
