Brockport, NY – The Brockport women's soccer team took a 0-0 draw against the Buffalo State Bengals on home turf today. 
The team also celebrated Girls Youth Soccer Day and hosted the Brockport U11 team. The girls ran out with a handful of Brockport's starters and also played an exhibition match during halftime. 
The Golden Eagles dominated in shots compared to Buffalo, with seven in both the first half and the second over the Bengals' four in both periods.  Buffalo State took the win in corner kick opportunities with seven compared to Brockport's five. 
Lavanya Upadhyay fired off a team-high of four shots on goal, and 
Megan Gerber followed shortly behind with three overall and two on goal. Both 
Amelia Breton and 
McKenna Slate had one shot on goal. 
Ella Camalleri, 
Elyssa Barnhart, and 
McKenna Slate all contributed strongly, each playing the entirety of the match. 
Emily McCane was in net for the first half of the game, making a total of two saves. Brockport made the switch to 
Madeline McCrosson at the halftime break, and she made three saves in between the pipes for the Green and Gold.
Up Next – Brockport is back in action next weekend to host Russell Sage College on home turf on Saturday, September 13
th, starting at 2pm. This matchup will be the Golden Eagles' first Empire 8 Conference game.
