BROCKPORT, NY - On Monday, February 23rd, the Empire 8 Conference announced Michael Norton as the Baseball Player of the Week. In his first three games with the Golden Eagles, Michael Norton slugged his way to his first Empire 8 Weekly Honor. 

Against a pair of top-30 teams in Canton, OH, last weekend, Norton racked up seven RBI's, four hits (2 XBH), three runs scored, and a home run in three starts for the Green and Gold. Boasting a strong .333/.308/.667 slash line with an impressive .975 OPS on the weekend, his best outings came against RV Adrian and RV Mount Union on Friday.

Against Adrian on Friday, Norton picked up the start at DH, finishing two-for-five with three RBI's and a solo home run in the 15-9 loss. In a slug fest against Mount Union Friday afternoon, Norton would drive in four more runs for the DH spot, smacking a double and scoring twice in the contest. 

The Golden Eagles will enjoy a break before heading to UMass Boston for doubleheader action on Saturday, March 7th, beginning at 12 pm.
