th at 11am, and Saturday, February 28
th at 10am.

Cardinal Invitational Recap –
Luca Friedman dominated the 197-pound bracket, racking up 20.5 points. He wasted no time, securing a lightning-fast pin at 0:27, followed by another at 6:49 in the semifinals. Friedman capped off his commanding run with a 19-4 technical fall in the first-place match. Friedman's performance led him to earn E8 Wrestler of the Week honor this past Monday.
At 149,
Spencer Maja battled his way to a third-place finish with 17.5 points. He opened the tournament with a gritty 11-10 decision and closed out the day with four consecutive wins, coming by injury default, decision, and two pins, to claim his podium spot.
Cael Stewart added 15 points for the Golden Eagles at 125 with a fourth-place finish. He set the tone early with a 15-0 technical fall in round one, then earned three more wins—a tight 8-6 decision and two pins—to advance to the consolation semifinals, where his day concluded.
Daniel O'Dea contributed 13.5 points at 141 with a fourth-place finish. After earning a 10-7 decision in the championship round one, O'Dea moved into the consolation bracket, where he picked up a win by pin, a decision, and additional points from a forfeit victory.
Luke Coffin put together a strong showing at 285, finishing fourth and scoring 13.5 points. He opened with back-to-back pins at 2:47 and 2:14 before closing out the tournament with a 7-3 decision.
Braiden Salter earned 12 points with a fourth-place finish at 133. His day featured a 13-5 major decision, a hard-fought 19-16 decision, and an injury default in the semifinal round.
Also at 149,
Brandon Drummond secured fifth place and 11 team points. He started with wins by decision and major decision, then sealed his finish with a forfeit victory in the fifth-place match.
In the 141-pound division,
Alex Smith claimed sixth place and 10 team points. He opened strong with back-to-back pins before his run concluded in the fifth-place match.
Brody Fry added nine team points with a fifth-place finish at 184. He posted a dominant 22-9 major decision and closed the invite with another convincing 17-3 major decision.
At 197,
Luke Herendeen finished fourth with 8.5 points. He earned a 2-1 decision to reach the semifinals, where he added a 3-0 decision to his day's work.
