Brockport, N.Y. – The men's indoor track and field team wrapped up competition on day two of the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field National Championships, with three athletes earning All-American honors.
Gabriel Giannini finished 11th overall in the heptathlon with a total of 4,979 points, earning Second Team All-American recognition. Giannini began day two with the 60m heptathlon hurdles, placing 18th with a time of 9.19 seconds. He then delivered a standout performance in the heptathlon pole vault, claiming the event title with a clearance of 4.65 meters. Giannini concluded the heptathlon with the 1000m, finishing 13th in 2:56.18.
Timothy Smith also secured All-American status, finishing seventh in the 800 meters with a school-record time of 1:51.61, marking a dominant performance on the national stage.
Dennis Bobbitt competed in the triple jump, recording a mark of 14.74 meters before an attempt resulted in a disqualification.
The Brockport men's and women's track and field teams now turn their attention to the outdoor season, which is scheduled to begin March 27–28 at the Early Season Invitational hosted by SUNY Geneseo.
