Men’s Lacrosse Falls on the Road at Potsdam

POTSDAM, NY – The SUNY Brockport men's lacrosse team fell to 0-4 on the season following a 9-4 road loss to SUNY Potsdam on Saturday afternoon at Maxcy Turf Field. Despite a strong performance in the cage and a competitive opening quarter, the Golden Eagles were unable to overcome the Bears' consistent offensive pressure.

How It Happened

The game began as a defensive battle, with both teams finding the back of the net just once in the opening 15 minutes to enter the second quarter tied at 1-1. However, Potsdam began to pull away in the second frame, outscoring Brockport 3-1 to take a 4-2 lead into the halftime break.

The Bears continued to build momentum in the third quarter, netting three goals while holding Brockport to a single tally from Mason Michel, assisted by Daniel Wright. Trailing 7-3 heading into the final period, the Golden Eagles' defense fought to keep the game within reach, but Potsdam added two more insurance goals to secure the victory. Daniel Stiles scored the final goal for the Green and Gold with just over five minutes remaining in regulation.
