OSWEGO, NY – The SUNY Brockport men's lacrosse team continues its early-season road stretch this Wednesday, March 11th, traveling to take on Oswego State. The non-conference matchup against the Lakers is scheduled for a 4 p.m. faceoff.
Last Time Out
The Golden Eagles are looking to find their rhythm and break into the win column following a 9-4 road loss to SUNY Potsdam last Saturday. Despite the final score, Brockport's defensive unit put up a resilient effort, led by goalkeeper
Jared Kulik, who anchored the backline with a 14-save performance.
Offensively, the Green and Gold saw balanced contributions as four different players—
Brenden McClay,
Dante Pezzimente,
Mason Michel, and
Daniel Stiles—each found the back of the net.
Reagan Alexander was a force on the defensive end, scooping up a game-high five ground balls and causing two turnovers, while
Daniel Wright and
Michael Dowden helped facilitate the attack with one assist apiece.
Scouting the Lakers
Wednesday's contest features two programs with a long history of narrow margins. Historically, the matchup has been a battle of margins, with Brockport holding a slim 11-10 lead in the all-time series. The two programs have been evenly matched of late, splitting their last six meetings.
Up Next: Following the trip to Oswego, the Golden Eagles will return to A. Huntley Parker Jr. Field to host Clarkson on Saturday, March 14th. The home contest is scheduled for a 3 p.m. faceoff.
