Brockport, NY – The men's and women's outdoor track and field teams are set to compete at the Fredonia Blue Devil Invitational on Saturday, April 25, beginning at 12:00 p.m.
Last Time Out
Both squads are coming off strong performances at the University of Rochester last weekend, where each team earned a second-place finish. The men totaled 191.5 points, while the women recorded 163.5 points in a dominant showing.
Men's Team Highlights
Aidan Mayer secured a first-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, clocking in at 9:54.28, while Joseph Massett added a third-place finish in 10:20.77.
In the 400-meter hurdles, Jeremy Chen captured first place with an AARTFC-qualifying time of 55.56 seconds.
Derek Grimshaw also delivered a standout performance, taking first in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.18 seconds.
In the field events, Allen Reome claimed the top spot in the javelin with a throw of 48.65 meters.
Women's Team Highlights
Ethne Degan led the way in the 800 meters, earning first place with an AARTFC-qualifying mark of 2:17.95, while Peyton Long finished third.
Elaina Neubert took first place in the 400-meter hurdles, crossing the line in 1:09.34.
Sasha Schramm added another victory for the Golden Eagles, winning the high jump with a clearance of 1.49 meters.
