BROCKPORT, N.Y. — The Brockport men's and women's outdoor track and field teams competed at the Williams Last Chance Meet as the Golden Eagles made final preparations ahead of next weekend's USTFCCCA Regional competition.
Men's Team
Track Events
Aidan Mayer opened the meet with a strong performance in the 3000-meter steeplechase, placing 14th with a time of 9:42.60.
Brockport's 4x100-meter relay team of Aaron Rodriguez, Derek Grimshaw, Michael Durski, and Gabriel Giannini earned a sixth-place finish after crossing the line in 42.05 seconds.
Timothy Smith recorded a third-place finish in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:51.37.
Ayden Grinion highlighted the track performances for the Golden Eagles, capturing the event title in the 400-meter hurdles with a winning time of 53.40 seconds.
Field Events
Gabriel Giannini added a fourth-place finish in the long jump after posting a mark of 6.77 meters.
In the shot put, Mitchell Ellsworth, Allen Reome, and Nick Wright finished consecutively in ninth through 11th place. Ellsworth led the trio with a throw of 13.84 meters, followed by Reome at 13.75 meters and Wright at 13.70 meters. Hunter Richards added a 13th-place finish in the hammer throw with a mark of 46.61 meters.
Women's Team
Track Events
Ethne Degan paced the women's team on the track with a fifth-place finish in the 1500-meter run, recording a time of 4:35.63.
Courtney Bostic posted a 14th-place finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:00.03 before adding a 12th-place performance in the 200-meter dash in 26.69 seconds.
Alexis Rodriguez closed out the hurdles competition with an eighth-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles after crossing the line in 1:06.49.
Field Events
Isabel Swyers led the field event performances with a 10th-place finish in the pole vault, clearing 3.43 meters.
Madison Kirkpatrick earned 13th place in the javelin with a throw of 32.80 meters, while Bella Rivera placed 12th in the hammer throw with a mark of 45.47 meters.

The Golden Eagles will next compete at the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference Championships on Wednesday, May 13 at 12 p.m. and Thursday, May 14 at 10 a.m. at Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania.
