SUNY Brockport women's flag football standout
Megan Gerber added another milestone to her historic inaugural season after attending the USA Football Adult Talent ID Camp on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at El Segundo High School in California.
Gerber, the Empire 8 Conference Championship Game Most Valuable Player, was invited to participate in the elite national identification camp, which served as a premier evaluation opportunity for athletes aspiring to represent the United States on the world stage. The camp featured combine-style testing, flag football-specific drills, and competitive scrimmages conducted in front of U.S. National Team coaches and personnel. Participants also received professional evaluation and feedback while becoming eligible for future invitations to U.S. Trials and Select Teams, including the Women's 23U National Team.
Gerber earned the opportunity following a remarkable season leading the Golden Eagles' offense. A First Team All-Empire 8 selection, Gerber established herself as one of the most dynamic dual-threat players in the country. She rushed for 1,249 yards and 14 touchdowns on 139 carries, averaging an impressive 124.9 yards per game on the ground. Through the air, she completed 70 passes for 915 yards and 15 touchdowns, finishing the season with a team-best 2,164 yards of total offense.
Her impact only grew in the postseason, where she elevated her performance to another level. Gerber accounted for nine total touchdowns during Brockport's championship run, earning Empire 8 Tournament MVP honors while leading the Golden Eagles to the inaugural Empire 8 Conference Flag Football title.
Gerber's participation in the USA Football Adult Talent ID Camp marked another significant accomplishment for both the student-athlete and the Brockport women's flag football program, continuing to showcase the rapid rise and national visibility of the Golden Eagles during their inaugural varsity season.
