BROCKPORT, N.Y. -- As announced by the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) on Friday. June 5th, the SUNY Brockport men's ice hockey team had 22 student-athletes selected to the UCHC All-Academic Team for the 2025-26 season.
The UCHC honored 215 student-athletes from its nine member institutions for their academic success during the 2025-26 academic year. To be eligible for the UCHC All-Academic Team, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic year at their current institution and maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher throughout the academic year.
Brockport's 22 honorees helped the Golden Eagles rank among the conference leaders in academic achievement while continuing to excel on the ice. Of the program's selections, 13 student-athletes earned All-Academic recognition for the second consecutive season after also being named to the 2024-25 UCHC All-Academic Team.
Returning honorees included Livio Azevado, Dominic Chirico, Dax Easter, Schuyler Flansburg, Spencer Flansburg, Jacob Gates, Josh Grund, Andrew Haugh, Josh Higgins, Trevor Joule, Ben Saurbaugh, Nick Serafin, Sacha Trudel, and Tobin Winslow. Eight additional Golden Eagles earned the distinction for the first time in their careers, highlighting the program's continued commitment to excellence in the classroom.
The UCHC All-Academic distinction recognizes the dedication and hard work student-athletes demonstrate both on the ice and in the classroom as they prepare for future academic and professional success.
