Brockport, NY- The Brockport women's tennis team is set to open their season on September 5^th in Fredonia at 1pm. The Golden Eagles will then head to Houghton for their Empire 8 opener on September 11^th at 4pm. The following day, they have their home opener against Oswego State on September 12^th at 1pm. 

2025 Season Recap- The Golden Eagles finished the 2025 fall season with a 3-7 overall record and a 2-6 mark in Empire 8 play, earning the No. 7 seed in the conference tournament. Brockport opened the season with a strong 6-1 win over Fredonia, then followed with a dominant 7-0 sweep of Russell Sage. The Golden Eagles closed the regular season on a high note, sweeping Utica 7-0 on the road after winning all three doubles matches and all six singles matches.

2025 Awards: 

• Senior Olivia Raschiatore was selected as Brockport's representative on the 2025 Empire 8 Women's Tennis Sportswoman of the Year Team. 
• Olivia Raschiatore & Cara Vasile earned Empire 8 Doubles Team of the Week after their season-opening performance against Fredonia. The duo won 6-1 at No. 1 doubles, helping Brockport to a 6-1 team victory. 

Returning Roster- There are nine returning faces to the 2026 season including junior Madison Ballone finishing 3-6 in singles with 2-3 Empire 8 record, sophomore Leah Banes, junior Riley Dunton, senior Hannah Gardner, junior Carly Lewis, sophomore Gianna Masker going 4-4 overall and 3-3 in Empire 8 play, junior Erin McMichael, junior Kathleen Rogers, and junior Cara Vasile. 

Newcomers- The Golden Eagles have added four new freshmen to the 2026 roster, including Samantha Basovsky, Maya Gibson, Madilyn Hackett, and Mackenzie King. These new faces will be great additions and will help the team make a greater impact.

Scouting Fredonia – Fredonia's 2025 season had a 14-5 overall record and 8-0 in conference play. Fredonia earned back-to-back 4-3 victories over the Golden Eagles in 2024 and the spring of 2025. Brockport responded during the 2025-26 campaign, opening the season with a 6-1 victory at Fredonia before returning home in the spring and completing a dominant 7-0 sweep on Senior Day.

Up Next: The Golden Eagles will open their season in Fredonia on Sep 5^th (Sat) and begin their Empire 8 conference play in Houghton on Sep 11^th (Fri). The following day, they will return to their home court for a match against Oswego State on Sep 12^th (Sat) at 1pm.
