SUNY Brockport Athletics proudly celebrated the newest members of the Golden Eagle Athletics Hall of Fame during a memorable evening of recognition, connection, and campus pride as part of Homecoming & Family Weekend.
Nearly 200 alumni, family members, friends, campus representatives, and supporters gathered for the annual Alumni Awards and Athletics Hall of Fame Dinner to honor the Class of 2026. The celebration recognized six exceptional additions to the Hall of Fame—five individuals and one historic team—whose achievements have made a lasting impact on Brockport Athletics.
All members of the Hall of Fame Class of 2026 were in attendance for the special occasion, which brought together generations of Golden Eagles to reflect on the accomplishments, relationships, and traditions that define Brockport Athletics.
The evening honored former gymnastics head coach John Feeney; the 1973 Brockport Men's Soccer Team; Josh Dupuis '09 of men's track and field; Sarah Brown '13 of women's lacrosse; Jake Giudice '17 of men's lacrosse; and Candis Kowalik-Bell '19 of gymnastics.
Feeney was recognized for his transformative 22-year tenure leading the Brockport gymnastics program, during which he established one of the premier NCAA Division III programs in the country. Under his leadership, the Golden Eagles earned national championships, regional titles, conference championships, and numerous individual honors.
The 1973 Brockport Men's Soccer Team was celebrated for one of the most accomplished seasons in program history. The Golden Eagles posted a 10–1 regular-season record, shared the SUNYAC Championship, and finished the year ranked among the top teams in New York State and the nation.
Dupuis was honored for a standout track and field career that included seven NCAA Championship appearances and five NCAA Division III All-America honors in the shot put and discus. Brown was recognized as one of the most productive players in Brockport women's lacrosse history, including her status as the program's all-time leader in assists and third in career points.
Giudice was celebrated for a record-setting men's lacrosse career in which he became the program's all-time leader in goals and points while helping lead the Golden Eagles to one of their best seasons in program history. Kowalik-Bell was honored as one of the most decorated gymnasts in Brockport history, earning three NCGA national championships, 13 All-America honors, and multiple program records.
The Hall of Fame recognition was held in conjunction with Brockport's annual Alumni Awards, creating an evening that celebrated the achievements of the University's alumni community both on and off the field.
Saturday Celebrations
The celebration continued the following day with special on-field recognitions at two Golden Eagle victories.
Several of the individual inductees were recognized at halftime of Brockport Football's Homecoming victory over RPI. The halftime ceremony gave the Homecoming crowd an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of Feeney, Dupuis, Brown, Giudice, and Kowalik-Bell, and to thank them for the lasting legacy they have created in the Green and Gold.
Later that day, members of the 1973 Brockport Men's Soccer Team were honored at halftime of the Golden Eagles' men's soccer victory over SUNY Poly. The recognition allowed the Brockport soccer community and fans in attendance to celebrate the historic team's championship season and place in program history.
SUNY Brockport Athletics extends its congratulations and appreciation to the entire Hall of Fame Class of 2026. Their accomplishments, leadership, and commitment to excellence will continue to inspire future generations of Golden Eagles.
