Box Score Brockport, NY - The Brockport men's soccer team (1-1) came up short at Rochester (1-1) on Saturday, September 5th. After securing a 2-1 win at RIT earlier in the week, Brockport finished the opening week 1-1 in non-conference play. '
Rochester would jump ahead early, cashing in with a penalty kick goal just 16:26 into the game. Despite allowing a goal early, Brockport's defense would recover, blocking three Yellowjacket shots to keep the deficit at 1-0 entering halftime.
Max Maouris and
Khadim Amar would create scoring chances, but Rochester goalkeeper Aidan Hartman would keep Brockport off the scoreboard.Â
The last 70 minutes would see both teams create scoring chances, including
Khadim Amar's shot on goal at the 71:06 mark. Following the Brockport chance, Rochester would double its lead, connecting at the 77:35 mark to earn the 2-0 win.
Despite earning five corner kicks to Rochester's two, the Golden Eagles would be held off the scoreboard. The Yellowjackets would finish with an 11-8 edge in the shots department.

Amar led all Brockport players with three shots, with
