Senior Maria Quagliana (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) captured both the one- and three-meter diving events and qualified for consideration for a third trip to the NCAA Division III Championships in the one-meter during Saturday’s Geneseo Invitational to earn The College at Brockport’s Female Athlete of the Week honors.

Quagliana’s one-meter score of 262.95 was above the qualifying standard for consideration for a spot at the NCAA Division III Championships, and her score was nearly 40 points better than the runner-up. Quagliana’s strong diving performances helped Brockport’s women place second overall.

Last year, Quagliana earned honorable mention All-American status, the first All-American honor for a female in the history of the Brockport Swimming and Diving program.
