Senior Dustin Colgan (Rome, NY/Rome Free Academy) has been named The College at Brockport Male Athlete of the Week following his two first-place finishes and one Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) qualifying mark at the Rochester Spring Invitational.

Competing in the hammer throw event, Colgan finished with a distance of 52.96 meters for the ECAC qualifying score. Colgan bettered his score from last week’s performance at Hamilton College. Colgan finished first there as well, but with a distance of 51.26 meters.

Colgan also finished first in the discus throw with a toss of 41.91 meters.The senior came in second place behind fellow teammate Brendon Ganschow (West Seneca, NY/West Seneca West) with a mark of 13.97 meters, just .03 meters off of Ganshow’s first-place finish.
