Junior Rachel Lamont (Bloomfield, NY/Honeoye) has been named The College at Brockport Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending on October 6.

Lamont has led the Golden Eagles tennis team this season. She helped Brockport to a 1-0 week with a 7-2 victory over visiting Daemen College.

Against the Wildcats, Lamont dominated in doubles. Lamont and her partner Lauren Bohman (Sayville, NY/Sayville) won 8-1 to get the Golden Eagles off to a strong start on the day. Later in the match, Lamont looked strong in her singles match, winning 6-1 and 6-0.

The Golden Eagles return to action on Friday for the start of the SUNYAC Tournament. Brockport will face Cortland for a 7:00 pm matchup in Binghamton, NY.
