Junior Samuel Taft (Schenectady, NY/Schenectady Christian) has been chosen as The College at Brockport Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending on April 6.

Taft helped the Golden Eagle men’s track and field team open up the 2014 outdoor season with a first place overall team finish out of 25 teams at the University of Rochester Invitational on Sunday.

Taft looked strong in the hurdles, earning himself two first place finishes and breaking a school record. In the 110-meter hurdles he raced to a top time of 15.08 for a new school record. In the 400-meter hurdles, he won with a time of 55.02.
