SUNY Brockport Athletics

Senior Olivia Suhr was the solid rock like foundation in which the Brockport Women’s Basketball team built its much needed State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) victories on. The Golden Eagles defeated two teams that were looking down on them in the standings in Cortland and Geneseo. In fact at the time of the game on Friday, Geneseo was the top team in the conference. Suhr was the force behind these victories averaging 18.5 points, seven rebounds, two assists and a block. The senior forward was extremely efficient shooting .667 from the floor on 18-of-27 shooting. Against Geneseo, the Golden Eagles stuck with its game plan of utilizing Suhr down low every chance they could get and the Rochester, N.Y. native finished with a game-high 21 points on an incredible 10-of-15 field goals made. With the two victories Brockport climbed two spots in the standings and currently ranks fourth in the SUNYAC with a conference record of 8-4.
