Candis Kowalik had an outstanding weekend for the Golden Eagles in the 2016 NCGA National Championships, including picking up a National Title on the balance beam. The freshman started the weekend strong in the team competition, competing in three of the four events for Brockport. On the vault, Kowalik scored a 9.650 for ninth over all. On the beam, she scored a 9.675 to place 16th and a 9.800 on floor put her in 10th. On Saturday, the Warwick, R.I. native stepped her game up even more. She earned two First-Team All-American honors, with her first place finish on the beam (9.850) and a fourth place on the floor (9.800). Kowalik also finished 15th on the vault, with a score of 9.475
