SUNY Brockport Athletics

Rookie Matt Schneider earned his first career win in his first career start Saturday as The College at Brockport ice hockey team defeated Castleton University.  Schneider stopped 21 shots and allowed only one goal on three Spartan power play opportunities.  On Friday night, Schneider entered the game in the third period when Brockport was down 4-0.  The Manlius, N.Y. native stood tall and shut out Tufts University in his first career appearance.  On the week, Schneider tabbed a 2.25 goals against average and a .909 save percentage.
