Senior Tom McCormick (Utica, NY/Utica Notre Dame) drove in five runs and hit .555 as The College at Brockport’s baseball team picked up two wins over the weekend. McCormick, an infielder, is Brockport’s Male Athlete of the Week.

McCormick had two of Brockport’s three hits against No. 2 ranked Kean University on Friday. Then, facing Rowan University, McCormick drove in a pair of runs as the Green and Gold picked up the first win of the season, an 11-1 route, Saturday afternoon.

Later on, facing Rutgers-Camden, Brockport fell behind 5-1 before McCormick’s bases-clearing, three-run double in the seventh inning put the Golden Eagles (2-1) ahead 7-5. Brockport hung on to win 12-10.

McCormick went 5 for 9 (.555 batting average) with five RBI, two walks and a run scored during the weekend’s three games.
