Rashad Baker had a career day, leading Brockport to the Empire 8 title with a game-winning interception, one of four picks on the day for the senior. Baker had three interceptions in the first half, two of which set up scoring drives in the first quarter for the Green and Gold. He capped his day, playing spoiler on Cortland’s final drive, intercepting the ball in the endzone to put the finishing touches on the Brockport win. The Greenburgh, N.Y. native also added three tackles, and two pass-breakups in a day that put him in the Brockport record books. Baker set the program record for pass deflections with 42 over the course of his career.
