Sophomore Jake Spalik (Johnson City, NY/Johnson City), the reigning NJAC Offensive Rookie of the Year, caught six passes for 118 yards and two touchdowns and also threw a scoring pass to Jordan Hogan (Lockport, NY/Newfane) to lead The College at Brockport football team to a 28-20 victory over nationally-ranked Kean University.

Spalik has been named Brockport’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Oct. 16.

The receiver also brought down a 33-yard reception on Brockport’s other scoring drive, making him an instrumental part of every Golden Eagles touchdown. He was also named the NJAC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance.

Kean was ranked eighth in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) poll, No. 10 in the D3Football.com poll and was the top ranked team in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Lambert Meadowlands poll coming into the game.
