Junior goalie Nicole Sarratori (Hilton, NY/Hilton) made her first start of 2010 for The College at Brockport's field hockey team and recorded a season-high seven saves, but the Golden Eagles fell 3-0 to the University of Rochester Saturday in a non-conference road game.

Rochester scored two first-half goals exactly 11 minutes apart and added a goal in the 42nd minute to seal the win. Brockport (8-10 overall) was outshot 16-8 and had eight penalty corners to Rochesters 10.

Brockport will look to regroup as the Golden Eagles prepare to be a part of history during this weekends first-ever State University of New York Athletic Conference postseason tournament.

The top four teams in the conference during the regular season qualified for the two-day competition, which runs Nov. 5-6 at top-seeded Geneseo. Brockport is the No. 4 seed and will face the host Blue Knights (15-1, 6-0) at 11 a.m. Nov. 5. The Golden Eagles dropped a pair of tough regular-season games against Geneseo, losing 2-1 at home and 2-0 on the road.

The winner of the Brockport/Geneseo game faces the winner of No. 2 Cortland (13-2, 5-1 SUNYAC) and No. 3 New Paltz (9-7, 3-3) at 1 p.m. Nov. 6 for the first-ever SUNYAC postseason championship.
