Field Hockey Falls In Semifinals of 1st SUNYAC Tournament

Sophomore Kasey Schreiner makes seven saves during 3-0 loss to Geneseo

Brockport's field hockey team fell in the first-ever SUNYAC semifinals
The College at Brockport's field hockey team qualified for the inaugural 2010 State University of New York Athletic Conferences (SUNYAC) postseason tournament, but on Friday, the Golden Eagles fell to regionally-ranked Geneseo 3-0 in the semifinals at Geneseo.

The fourth-seeded Golden Eagles (8-11 overall) surrendered two goals in the first 10 minutes and managed only two shots against the top-seeded Blue Knights (17-1), ranked second in the NCAAs North Atlantic Region rankings.

Sophomore Kasey Schreiner (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) made seven saves for Brockport, which was outshot 17-2. Schreiner established a career-best with 118 saves this year, one more than her freshman year output and the 12th highest total in school history.
