Williams, Green Each Score 20 Points In Win

Golden Eagles use 12-0 first-half run to defeat St. Lawrence University.

Gerald Williams scored 20 points during Brockport's 75-71 win over St. Lawrence University.
Juniors Gerald Williams (Rochester, NY/Charlotte) and Kyheem Green (Huntington Station, NY/Walt Whitman) each scored 20 points as The College at Brockport's men's basketball team extended its winning streak to two with a 75-71 win over St. Lawrence University Tuesday night inside the Jim and John Vlogianitis Gymnasium.
 
After trailing by as many as six, Williams and Green each made baskets, and junior Kazeem Are (South Orange, NY/Columbia) and senior Francisco Lantigua (Jamestown, NY/Jamestown) each added a pair of free throws and a basket as Brockport (3-5) went on a 12-0 run to take a 25-16 lead. Williams scored 15 first-half points and Are, Antigua and Derek Klein (Valley Stream, NY/Long Island Lutheran) each added six points in the half as Brockport held a 40-34 lead.
 
Green scored 15 second-half points and Lantigua added 10 in the second as Brockport held on for its second straight win. Lantigua sealed the win by hitting all 12 of his free throw attempts, including going six for six over the final 3:16. Brockport made 27 of its 32 free throws, including hitting on 17 of 20 in the second half. Senior Zack McTigue (East Aurora, NY/East Aurora) snared a team-high seven rebounds while Green, Are and Klein each grabbed five boards. Klein also had a game-high seven assists in the win.
 
Brockport returns to action with a pair of road games, traveling to Potsdam for an 8 p.m. showdown Friday night, followed by a 4 p.m. game against Plattsburgh Saturday afternoon.
