Junior Kyheem Green (Huntington Station, NY/Walt Whitman) led The College at Brockport Men's Basketball team with 17 points and 10 rebounds and two other Golden Eagles scored in double-digits but the Golden Eagles fell behind in the first half and dropped a 74-60 decision to Potsdam in a State University of New York Athletic Conference game Friday at Welsh Gymnasium in Potsdam.

Green scored 17 points while Gerald Williams (Rochester, NY/Charlotte) added 15 and Zack McTigue (East Aurora, NY/East Aurora) chipped in 14 but the Golden Eagles (3-6 Overall, 1-1) were limited to just 25 first-half points as the Bears (3-7, 2-1) scored 43 in the first 20 minutes for the early advantage.

Green also led the Golden Eagles with 10 rebounds to record his fourth double-double of the season. He is currently leading Brockport in both scoring (16.1 per game) and rebounding (9.0 per contest).

Two key runs by Potsdam in the first half helped the Bears build a lead. Potsdam went on a 16-3 run early in the half to change a two-point deficit at 5-3 into a 19-8 lead six minutes later. Three minutes later, the Bears went on a short 7-0 run over a span of 1:30 to increase their lead to a 14-point advantage at 30-16.

In the second half, Brockport chipped away at the lead and cut the lead to just nine points with four minutes remaining in the half when McTigue connected on an inside shot off a fast break.

Potsdam regained control and scored the next seven straight points to push the lead back to 16 points.

After connecting on just 4-of-12 free throws in the first half, Brockport hit 12-for-17 from the charity stripe in the second half. The Golden Eagles defense forced 20 turnovers with 12 steals led by McTigue who recorded four.
