The Red Dragons responded quickly again scoring three minutes later to take a 3-2 lead and they held onto the slim lead for the victory.
“It was a very evenly played game,” said head coach Andrea Zurlo. “I t was back and forth and both teams had chances to score. We just need to get a little better at finishing off our chances to win these close games. We played well as a team and it was a good effort from the entire team.”
Brockport returns to action in a key SUNYAC game Saturday at New Paltz. The two teams are tied for fourth in the SUNYAC standings. The New Paltz-Geneseo game that was started Friday was suspended after lightning delays and then darkness with the score tied at 0-0 and just over a minute to play in the first half. No date has been determined for the resumption of that game.
