Senior Kelly-Ann Henry (Glen Head, NY/North Shore) scored a first half goal to give The College at Brockport Field Hockey team a 1-0 lead but Denison College rebounded with two goals in the second half to post a 2-1 win over Brockport Saturday at Nazareth College.

Brockport will play Oswego at 11 am Sunday in the consolation game of the Nazareth Tournament. The Lakers lost a 3-2 overtime decision to Nazareth Saturday.

In the first half, Henry took a crossing pass from sophomore Jessica Blind (Webster, NY/Webster Thomas) and lifted a shot over the shoulder of the Denison goalie to give Brockport the early lead.

In the second half, Denison scored twice in a span of less than a minute to take the lead.

“I thought we played a great game,” said head coach Andrea Zurlo. “We had more chances to score but had trouble finishing off the offensive rushes.”
