Senior midfielder Kelly-Ann Henry (Glen Head, NY/North Shore) scored the game-winning goal and tallied an assist on the insurance goal for The College at Brockport field hockey team in a 2-0 home win over Nazareth on Tuesday afternoon.

Brockport (5-3) out-shot Nazareth (2-6) 22-18 during the game, and Henry scored the game's first goal at 19:11 into the game off a centering pass from sophomore Madison Buckley (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) on a Brockport corner.

The Golden Eagles attempted 10 penalty corners in the first half, to just four for the Golden Flyers. Brockport led 1-0 at the half.

With just under 26 minutes remaining, Nazareth's Kailee O'Hara took the ball down the middle of the field and fired a shot at the left side of the goal that was saved by Golden Eagle goalie Kasey Schreiner (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg). Nazareth's Alexis Root gathered the rebound, but shot the ball wide of the net.

A few minutes later, Henry stole the ball from a Golden Flyer defender, but Nazareth goalie Sophia Rhoades came out to stop her breakaway effort. Henry took nine shots in the contest, six of which were on goal.

"Kelly-Ann is the driving force of our team,"  head coach Andrea Zurlo said.

With 6:01 left in regulation, Henry found sophomore Megan Usher (Burnt Hills, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) right in front of the net, and Usher got the ball by the goalie for the game's second and final goal.

"Megan improves every day in practice. She's a very coachable player," Zurlo said. "The entire team worked hard today."

Schreiner earned the win with 11 saves in her second shutout of the season. Rhoades registered 13 saves in a losing effort.

Brockport hosts Geneseo on Friday at 4 pm. The conference opponents both enter the game at 2-1 in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) play.
