The Golden Eagles conference record falls to 3-3 and 5-8 overall.

The teams played an even ten minutes to open up the game. With the score tied at 14, Geneseo went on a 10-0 run before Derek Klein (Valley Stream, NY/Long Island Lutheran) hit a three-point shot. When Brockport struggled to score, Ivy found ways to penetrate the Geneseo zone.

Both teams refused to make mistakes as the two sides continued to trade baskets on each possession.

After trading possessions without scoring over the next 45 seconds, Geneseo sank two free-throws to make it 67-64. Donnell Jackson (Rochester, NY/Edison Tech) converted a layup with just three seconds to play. On the ensuing Geneseo inbounds, Jackson stole the full-court pass and quickly called a timeout to set up a play. However, Brockport's inbound pass could not find the hands of a Golden Eagle as time expired.
