The College at Brockport dropped a nonconference match-up to Ithaca Tuesday, falling to the Bombers 4-0 at Higgins Stadium. The Golden Eagles are now 4-3 on the year.
Playing in its first game since Sept. 22, Brockport gave up a goal at the 4:35 mark of the first half. The Bombers scored two more goals over the next 15 minutes before tallying the final score in the second half to take the victory.
Kasey Schreiner (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) faced eight shots on goal for the day, registering four saves. Schreiner is just 16 saves away from eclipsing the 400-mark for her career.
The Golden Eagles had allowed just one goal over their last four games prior to facing Ithaca. Brockport took a total of eight shots on the day, putting four on net. Ithaca fired off a total of 14 on the day.
Jackie Massoni (Bay Shore, NY/Bay Shore) had two of the shots on goal for Brockport. Ithaca held the advantage in corners 9-5.
Brockport returns to conference play with two State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) home contests this weekend, taking on Oneonta at 4:00 pm on Friday and New Paltz at 1:00 pm on Saturday.
